A tribute to Old Man Winter, who so kindly allowed me the privilege of staying an extra 11 hours in Detroit... 11 hours... on a bus... sitting at the greyhound bus depot... not moving. (made with the eTech script)
Winter's Gaze by *CabinTom is a beautiful and unusual fractal design with wonderful curves and excellent detail. The deeply serene blue tones and sensually moody night-lighting, gives us cozy warmth on a cold winter's night. But it is the texture that keeps me coming back to view it again and again. This piece MUST be gazed upon in FULL VIEW! (
this was a wallpaper on a applicaitno for my g1 but it didnt have an artist name or name of the piece, but i love it so much i spent the last 2 hours on the net searching for it! glad i actually found it!
You say advanced critique encouraged, but I can't really think of anything to critique. Your overall shape is excellent- clearly defined, an entrancing, almost mask-like design. The grey outline and the brighter teal help bring focus, and the white center of the square 'eyes' are bright but not overly so. Zooming in reveals very intricate details, and I'm really impressed that you can manage that without blurring. I'm guessing that you used a Juliascope final transform on it, and that really helps bring everything together. Great job!
